"Ulla Westlund confidently carried the role of Maddalena" is Opera News' acknowledging response to I Tre Compagni (vol 74, no.3). Some other reviews have also come in:

"Swedish soprano Ulla Westlund was a wonderful Maddalena, her vibrant soprano excelling in both lyric and dramatic passages. There were many compelling and golden moments with declamatory passages, high floating pianissimos and swelling of the tone in melodic passion" writes The Brooklyn Daily Eagle on June 30th, 2009 (full article).

And Berkshire Fine Arts notes: Ulla Westlund "comes to us in the tradition of the great Scandinavian sopranos singing today — Karita Mattila and Katarina Dalayman." (2009-08-30, full article).
